Help us keep making new music online

During this difficult period of lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak, the London Sinfonietta is as determined as ever to make new music that inspires and connects us.  In January, we launched our new digital Channel as a showcase for our films and podcasts.  But little could we know then that it would be such an important way for us to deliver our work to you now.

Producing Lockdown Live has been a real tonic to all of us at the London Sinfonietta, enabling us to do something positive and productive after several weeks of cancelling concerts.  We have been so pleased to read your responses, hear your questions, and perform your wonderful Postcard Pieces. Through all of this we have felt closer to you, our audience.

With your enthusiasm and support we can keep this initiative going and offer more opportunities to our players and composers whose own working lives have been so negatively affected by the COVID crisis. It would make all the difference to us if you would consider donating to help sustain the London Sinfonietta's online output at this time, and into next season when social distancing may well remain a part of our lives.  Perhaps that may be the cost of a concert ticket, but please do consider donating more if you can possibly afford it.  Every donation – large or small – will make a vital difference. Thank you so much – we appreciate it enormously.

I hope to see you in person at a live event sometime in the near future.  Together, we are the London Sinfonietta community – and we are determined to stay close through this time.  Please be confident to contact me personally.

Yours,

Andrew Burke
Chief Executive & Artistic Director of the London Sinfonietta
