A quick overview of everything we did in September.
On Saturday 3 September Marius Neset and the London Sinfonietta performed Prom 63 in the Royal Albert Hall. It was the world premiere of Neset's Geyser, a piece that rampantly draws on the natural and creative forces of this world. It was a wonderful evening which was greatly enjoyed by those who attended.

In this new video, Principal Clarinet, Mark van de Wiel, explores a selection of contemporary playing techniques. The emotional, dramatic and musical significance of these techniques is explored through carefully chosen excerpts from a variety of musical sources, from Igor Stravinsky to Magnus Lindberg.
Composition Challenges invites young people, teachers and schools to create new music for the London Sinfonietta inspired by the works and musical ideas of living composers. Our Participation and Learning team has been working hard this month, bringing Contemporary Classical music into schools and encouraging the next generation of composers.
The upcoming 2022-23 season showcases modern new music masterpieces, inspiring and thought-provoking world-premieres plus a continued passion to inspire the public and young people with new music.
