RETURNING TO CAVE

Live discussion with composer Tansy Davies, librettist Nick Drake, director Lucy Bailey and singers Mark Padmore and Elaine Mitchener.

In January 2020, we launch our new digital channel – a dedicated platform to present specially curated new music programmes and online concerts including the beautifully produced film of Tansy Davies and Nick Drake’s opera Cave, first staged in June 2018 at Printworks London, a disused factory in South-East London. Performed by tenor Mark Padmore and mezzo-soprano Elaine Mitchener, alongside the ensemble and conductor Geoffrey Paterson, the opera will be available to watch online for a limited time.

To launch this exciting new digital initiative, we present a live evening with artist discussions from the creative team behind Cave, including a short performance from the opera by singers Padmore and Mitchener. Join us for this special evening of discussion, performance and innovation at the unique and intimate space of the music-lover’s café Spiritland Royal Festival Hall.
