Live Podcast Recording

Book

In January 2020 we launched our new digital channel – a dedicated platform to present specially curated new music content and online concerts including a new podcast series The Music That Made Me, a series exploring six key pieces of music that have influenced and inspired composers and artists, from Tansy Davies and Anna Meredith to Georg Friedrich Haas.

Join us for a live podcast recording of The Music that Made Me with discussion from musicians and composers Matthew Herbert and Anna Meredith, hosted by cellist Zoe Martlew. Within the intimate space of the music-lovers café, Spiritland Royal Festival Hall, this live recording will include extracts from the artist’s selection of key pieces played on the venue’s extraordinary sound-system.

About the artists
Matthew Herbert is an award-winning composer, artist, producer and writer whose range of innovative works extends from more than 30 albums to scores for Oscar-winning films (A Fantastic Woman) as well as music for the National Theatre, Broadway, TV series, games and radio.

Anna Meredith’s music has been performed everywhere from the BBC Last Night of the Proms to campaigns for PRADA and Apple. Other projects have included orchestral arrangements for Laura Marling, The Stranglers, the David Bowie prom and Sigur Ros, and the highly regarded film score for Sundance award-winning Eight Grade. Her music was also recently heard on the soundtrack of Netflix’s show Living with Myself, starring Paul Rudd and Aisling Bea.
