Kings Place, London
The London Sinfonietta returns to its Turning Points series, presenting ideas so distinctive that they influenced the course of musical history.
This edition explores the 20th century: an era of extremely rapid change, both in wider society but also musically. The London Sinfonietta wanted to create new ways of writing as an artistic reaction to what they saw happening around them – two world wars, myriad technological advances, and a shrinking globe. This immersive concert experience will explore how in different ways they each explored new ground in this enthralling period of artistic and cultural history.
