A quick round-up of our activity in June
Photos and reactions: Violet
June saw the start of our national tour of Violet. Combining the acclaimed talents of writer Alice Birch (TV adaptations include Normal People; film Lady Macbeth; stage Anatomy of a Suicide) and rising star composer Tom Coult (commissioned by First Night of the Proms; currently resident composer at the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra), this is opera for now and about now.

Great afternoon at @BrittenPears seeing Alice Birch & @tomcoult’s highly anticipated, unsettling and utterly absorbing opera Violet. A must-see on tour with @MTW_tweets & @Ldn_Sinfonietta for the next couple of weeks! pic.twitter.com/ZTn35RORhr

Composition workshops in Wales
On 20th June we had the privilege of sharing a composer workshop with the incredibly talented students at Bangor University, Joe Davis, Hero Douglas, Polly Olden-Chandler and Ivan Pierre Quiterio. Remember these names because we predict that we'll hear a lot more from them in years to come!
With thanks to Music Theatre Wales for making this partnership possible.
