The energy of jazz meets the virtuosity of contemporary classical: four stars of the London jazz scene premiere new, genre-defying ensemble pieces in this extraordinary event, hosted by Jumoké Fashola. Evoking the “third stream” which lies between classical and jazz, these exciting commissions combine the explosive unpredictability of improvisatory jazz with the rich and versatile timbre of the London Sinfonietta ensemble.
