ONLINE CALL OUT FOR PERFORMERS
The third bi-annual international festival of contemporary music produced by CoMA (Contemporary Music for All). The CoMA collective was founded with the intention of involving musicians of all abilities in performances of contemporary music. This event in CoMA’s festival will feature new, short solo and duet works composed and performed by members of the public, who will have the opportunity to collaborate with London Sinfonietta musicians. Those interested in participating are invited to submit an application.
Now’s your chance to join the London Sinfonietta and Contemporary Music for All (CoMA) for a marathon day of contemporary music as part of The Festival of Contemporary music for All. This is your opportunity to rehearse andperform contemporary repertoire alongside the world-class musicians of the London Sinfonietta for free! You can perform a piece from the ABRSM Spectrum series for either piano, cello, violin, trumpet, clarinet, piano duet
or string quartet as part of a concert in the form of a marathon of short, 5 minute performances.
CoMA is a national organisation committed to bringing contemporary music to people whatever their musical ability. This year, they have teamed up with the London Sinfonietta for a marathon day of performances of the ABRSM Spectrum series. There will also be the opportunity to sign up for a masterclass, where a member of the ensemble will workshop a piece of your choice.
We welcome interest from all members of the public (those under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult). There is no charge to participate.
Participants need to be available all day on Sunday 8 March at Queen Mary University of London. Rehearsals will take place from 10.30am-12.30pm. The Marathon will take place from 1.30-3.30pm and will be open to members of the public. Specific times will be allocated closer to the day.
To sign up for the project, please go to https://www.londonsinfonietta.org.uk/coma, or fill in the forms below. For more information contact Christine Andrews on firstname.lastname@example.org / 020 7239 9340
