Southbank Centre's Queen Elizabeth Hall, London
Explore iconic contemporary classical music with one of the world's leading ensembles and inspire your pupils to listen, perform and compose. Sound Out will show students the basics of how composers write music and where a musical idea starts. Our presenter will guide audience members through the building blocks of music in this participatory concert, via a varied programme of short contemporary pieces.
The concert will also feature the world premiere of a brand new piece composed by young people from Enfield, Haringey and Waltham Forest, played by a combined orchestra of London Sinfonietta players and young musicians from the three boroughs.
