MARIUS NESET - ILIOS FESTIVAL

The world-renowned ensemble London Sinfonietta comes to town with saxophonist and composer Marius Neset and drummer Anton Eger to perform the new work Changes .

Neset and the London Sinfonietta have collaborated for almost a decade, with works such as Snowmelt and Viaduct . Their previous project, Geyser – recorded live at the Royal Albert Hall – was named one of the best jazz albums of the year by The Guardian (2023) .

Changes will premiere at the London Jazz Festival in November 2025, and this tour marks the first time the public will be able to experience the music after its premiere. Harstad and Tromsø are exclusive stops for this stellar cast , when the concert is presented in collaboration with ILIOS – Festival for New Music and the Northern Lights Festival .

The music in Changes combines precision, power and richness of sound – with Neset and Eger, two world-class musicians, at the forefront. This will be an evening where energy and expression are united at the highest level.
