Thursday 12 June saw the London Sinfonietta push the boundaries of new music once again in Humans, a bold and affecting evening of world premieres exploring the complexities of the human condition.
Two trailblazing young composers - Pablo Martinez and Sun Keting - took centre stage with works that were as emotionally raw as they were sonically inventive. From Martinez’s Just for today, a deeply personal meditation on addiction and the search for love, to Keting's Conduit, where the lines between human and machine blurred through a haunting mix of live electronics, voice, and movement - this was a concert that didn’t just speak to the present moment, but challenged it.
A striking fusion of music, movement and theatre - intimate, uncomfortable, and utterly compelling.
