Sun is creating an intimate, interdisciplinary music theatre piece combining music and dance that will re-evaluate spirituality in our modern age. The performance blends traditional and electronic music with dance, reflecting modern human experiences. Featuring internationally renowned choreographer Lico, the work merges natural and technical elements, offering an emotionally resonant exploration of relationships within an ever-increasing digital age. Conduit is set to premiere on June 12 2025.
Sun Keting, a China-born, London-based composer, artist, and researcher, focuses on blending Eastern culture and philosophy elements with performing arts and instrumental and electronic sound in her compositions. Described as “the future way to go” by The Independent and praised for their “harmonic imagination, mastery of instrumentation” by Bachtrack, her works have been performed globally. Keting's music has graced stages from the UK to Asia, with pieces performed by prestigious groups like the London Symphony Orchestra and the BBC Singers. Notably, she composed for Birmingham Royal Ballet's "Black Sabbath."
Keting's music has graced prestigious venues and festivals worldwide, including the Royal Festival Hall, Wigmore Hall, King’s Place London, Aldeburgh Festival, Cheltenham Festival, LSO St. Luke’s, Helsinki Concert Hall, tête-à-tête Festival, and National Concert Hall Dublin. She champions bold and innovative artistic endeavours as an RPS Composer for 2023-2024 and a co-director at Tangram.
Among her upcoming events is a commissioned piece for the London Sinfonietta and Sansara Choir supported by the PRS Foundation.
