Sound Inhabitants is constructed out of contrasting blocks of sound. These are heard individually and in layers that overlap, collage-like. During the writing process, I deliberately eschewed motivic development and transition. Instead, my aim was to create sound states or spaces. Rooms of sound that can be inhabited. - Sam Fernando
