The London Sinfonietta works closely with both emerging and established composers from a range of different ages and backgrounds. Our Writing the Future scheme allows emerging music creators to take risks and work with us over a two-year period, whilst our Blue Touch Paper research and development programme enables composers to make work digitally.

Our open-call programme supports emerging composers and music creators through the process of making new music with our musicians over a two-year period, and encourages them to create work that expands the work of the ensemble.

Blue Touch Paper
A longstanding research and development project that has helped launch innovations in the work of the ensemble. Currently, a new commissioning programme is being launched which will provide training for composers in new technologies.
