In March 2020 the London Sinfonietta presented a concert for Key Stage Two primary school students exploring iconic contemporary classical music, and inspiring a new generation of composers to get creative. Featuring key excerpts of music, students were guided through the building blocks of composition with presenter Patrick Bailey, making music there and then, live at the concert. The concert also featured the premiere of a new piece, Five Rhythmic Vehicles for Colour, written and performed by young musicians from the ensemble’s collaborations with schools and music services, and arranged by Trish Clowes.
We had such a great time at Royal Festival Hall today listening to and engaging with London Sinfonietta Orchestra. A truly stunning experience. School Teacher
