Composition Challenges programme wins Music & Drama Education Award

We are very pleased and proud to announce that our Composition Challenges programme was awarded The Rocksteady Award for Progressive and Inclusive Music Education at the recent Music & Drama Education Awards. Blending online resources with in-person visits, Composition Challenges provides inspiring ideas for young people to compose and gives confidence through teacher training to lead creative music making in their classrooms.

Head of Participation and Learning, Lily Caunt attended the award ceremony to accept the award in recognition of all the hard work of herself and her colleagues who have evolved the Composition Challenge project over the past seasons.

The London Sinfonietta has ambitious plans in to evolve its work with composition in schools both in London and outside London.
