The third in a series of new music works that involve the public in their very making, this afternoon concert features a new work, Orango, for ensemble and audience, by Italian/Swiss composer Oscar Bianchi.

Clapping Music Workshop (Pre-concert event)

Bookings for the Clapping Music Workshop have now closed.

At 2.30pm join us for a fun, participatory pre-concert workshop to learn how to perform Steve Reich’s Clapping Music. No prior musical knowledge or expertise is required (suitable for all ages 7 years +). The workshop is free, but booking is required.

 

CONNECT is a European-wide project to create and perform new compositions which involve the public in their realisation. Oscar Bianchi’s work will also be performed around Europe by the project's other ensembles: Asko|Schönberg in Amsterdam, Ensemble Modern in Frankfurt and Remix Ensemble Casa da Música in Porto.
